The Chicago Police Enforcers football team is a recognized 501c3 charitable organization formed to raise funds for Police and Children charities. The Enforcers play in the National Public Safety Football League (www.NPSFL.com) against teams from around the country formed with similar charitable goals. Proceeds from our fund raising are donated to several charities including the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation (www.cpdmemorial.org), the Chicago Police Gold Star Families, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls (www.mercyhome.org), and the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry.
As we begin our 7th Season, we look forward to building on our successes from last year's championship on the field while raising funds for our favorite charities. Our team's success relies on your support.
With the closing of NPSFL meetings this week, we are proud to announce our schedule for the 2014 season. For the second straight season, the CPD Enforcers will be an NPSFL Division I team. The Enforcers will kick off their season on the road against the Marauders of Columbus, Ohio on March 29th. The Enforcers are 0-2 against Columbus since joining the NPSFL, with the last meeting being a heated battle in 2010. Next, the Enforcers will welcome a familiar team, the Cleveland Warriors, to Chicago for the organization's home opener on April 12th.
The CPD Enforcers are gearing up for their 2014 season! We are currently looking for players to join our team for the upcoming season. Any full-time, sworn police, corrections, or sheriff's officers are eligible to play, including CPD, CCSP, CC Sheriffs, ISP, IDOC, and Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana police departments. Those interested are to attend our mandatory meeting for all new and returning players and coaches. The meeting will take place Tuesday, November 19th, 7:30 pm, at the Chicago Police Education and Training Center, 1300 W. Jackson.
The Enforcers are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with former NFL player Alphonso Roundtree and his organization, the Gridiron Classic. Enforcers players and coaches look forward to volunteering for all of the events taking place and hope that this will be a long-lasting partnership.
The weekend includes an awards ceremony and VIP reception at Lucky Strike Bowling (322 E. Illinois) on July 19th at 7:30 PM, as well as a skills combine, football/cheer camp, health fair, and celebrity flag football game on July 20th at Altgeld Park (515 S.
To close the 2013 season, the Enforcers will take on the Inland Empire Enforcers on Sunday, June 2nd, at Lane Stadium on the campus of Lane Tech High School. The game is slated for a 2 pm kickoff. This is an important game for the team, as we are excited about giving our fans one more exciting football game this season. Additionally, we will be honoring many of our sponsors and supporters, including the FOP, for all of their contributions to our organization.
