THE GOLD STAR MEMORIAL BOWL
One of the bigger annual games for the Enforcers, the Gold Star Memorial Bowl takes place during the city's Gold Star Weekend. Highlighted by events hosted by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and the CPD Gold Star Families, the purpose of the weekend is to raise both money and awareness for the families of fallen officers while honoring their ultimate sacrifice. The families of officers from both the Chicago Police Department and Cook County Sheriff's Department will be honored. As the Enforcers' popularity and exposure has grown, we are extremely proud that the game has become a Gold Star Weekend fixture in Chicago. The Enforcers are undefeated all time in the Gold Star Memorial Bowl play.

EMILY STRONG
In addition to the Gold Star Memorial honorees, the Enforcers will also be recognizing 12 year old Emily Beazley at the game. Emily has been courageously battling Stage III T-Cell Lymphoblastic Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma since April of 2011, and as of late has suffered a few medical setbacks. A resident of the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood, Emily's story has captured the hearts of Chicagoans and support has been rallied throughout the city and beyond. Emily, the daughter of a Chicago Police veteran, has displayed great bravery and was recently named an honorary Chicago Police officer. The Enforcers will donate a portion of Saturday's proceeds to help Emily's fight, as well as research for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The CPD Enforcers organization is both honored and overjoyed to recognize Emily's strength as she continues to fight.

THE JERSEYS
Those who have followed the Enforcers will get quite a surprise on Saturday, as it will be the first time the team has worn black jerseys in the city of Chicago. The jerseys, commemorating the organization's tenth season of play, include the star numbers of fallen officers printed on the numbers. While many teams roll out black jerseys as a gimmick of sorts for big games, the team decided on the color black to honor those officers who have died in the line of duty.
