enforcers wrap up 2015 season with a 4-1 (3-1) record
With the team's May 30th 27-0 shutout victory over the Inland Empire Enforcers, the CPD Enforcers officially wrapped up the 2015 campaign with a 4-1 (3-1 NPSFL) record, a successful season considering the squad cruised to a 4 game winning streak following March's season opener in San Diego. This is an especially impressive feat, considering the team was struck with an inordinate amount of injuries for a five game season. Nevertheless, the Enforcers were able to establish a strong running game behind a youthful offensive line, and the Enforcer defense returned to form, recording 12 takeaways and 2 shutout performances. Most importantly, though, was the bond formed between the players both on and off the field. 2015 was one of the organization's most successful fundraising seasons, and the effort and contributions of the players was a huge part of this.
Though it was a true team effort throughout the season, there were several standout performers. Offensively, the team was led by quarterback Jason Edwards (30/76, 404 yards, 8 TDs), running backs Steve Holden (55 carries, 327 yards), Chris Williams (44 carries, 263 yards), Ashlee Frazier (24 carries, 120 yards), and David Moore (21 carries, 122 yards). Additionally, tight end Todd Burkoth added 6 catches for 128 yards, as well as many key blocks.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Enforcers were led by linebackers Rick Richardson (49 tackles, 1 fumble recovery), Jason Slater (29 tackles, 1 forced fumble) and Shaun Jaudon (19 tackles), as well as defensive linemen Joe DeRosa (17 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 1 fumble recovery) and Steve Johnson (16 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 1 fumble recovery), in addition to defensive backs Toriano Clinton (8 tackles, 2 interceptions) and Emile Domer (20 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss).
Following this successful season, the organization would like to thank all of our fans and supporters. We pride ourselves on running a strong charitable organization, and our day to day operations truly rely on their support. We look forward to 2016, where we will once again do our best to help support various charities and compete for a National Public Safety Football League national championship!
