DATE: March 29th, 2014
TIME: 1 pm (ET)
LOCATION: Canal Winchester, OH

THE GAME
The Enforcers kick off their 9th season of play against the Columbus Marauders, this season playing in the NPSFL's Division II. The Enforcers are 0-2 all time vs. Columbus, with the last meeting being at Columbus in 2010, where a short-handed Enforcers squad lost a physical, hard fought game. A memorable road trip despite the loss, the Enforcers look to bounce back this time around in central Ohio.

ON THE AIR
For the first time in the organization's history, the Enforcers have a broadcast partnership. Sports Town Chicago will broadcast the game online, and it is also available through the TuneIn Radio app on any smartphone.  Sports Town Chicago is produced by students of the Illinois Center for Broadcasting. The voice of the CPD Enforcers, Brian SloppyMeatSauce, returns for his 2nd season of covering Enforcer football.

THE VENUE
The Enforcers will be playing the Marauders at Canal Winchester High School, home of the Indians. Located in Canal Winchester, Ohio, the stadium is roughly 25 minutes southwest of downtown Columbus and 10 minutes away from the Enforcers' hotel accommodations for the trip.

THE COACH
Greg Zaragoza is entering his 5th season as the Enforcers head coach (9th season on the staff overall), bringing with him a 12-7 career record. The 19 year CPD veteran will also serve as the team's primary offensive play caller.

THE CAPTAINS
The Enforcers are led this season by captains Mike Belmontez (Offensive Line, 008th District), Aaron Chappell (Defensive Line, Unit 213), Will Murphy (Defensive Back, Unit 393), Jason Slater (Linebacker, 014th District), and Bob Slechter (Wide Receiver, 011th District).

THE ROOKIES
The Enforcers benefit this season from the Chicago Police Department making it's first substantial hirings in several years, creating a significant increase of young talent for the team. Nearly every position group on the team boasts at least two rookie players with prior playing experience.

THE PREVIOUS SEASON
The Enforcers are coming off of a disappointing 2013 season, which saw the team go 2-3 overall with a 2-2 record within the NPSFL. The season was highlighted with a 26-7 victory over the Cleveland Warriors and a 25-6 triumph over the Washington DC Generals in the Gold Star Memorial Bowl.

THE OPPONENT
The Marauders are coming off of a 3-2 (0-2 NPSFL) season, earning victories over the non-NPSFL Lancaster Sabers, as well as the Detroit Mustangs and the Cincinnati Ambassadors, who were NPSFL probationary members last season before leaving the league. Marauder losses came at the hands of the Roanoke Rampage (20-14) and the Cleveland Warriors (29-9). The game vs. Roanoke was particularly hard fought, with the Rampage holding off a strong second half surge by Columbus. The Enforcers shared one common opponent during the 2013 season in the Cleveland Warriors, who the Enforcers defeated 26-7 to open last season in Cleveland. In games vs. NPSFL probationary or member teams, the Marauders were able to outscore their opponents 66-49.
