THE LAST TIME OUT
The Enforcers enter the contest vs. New York Corrections on the heels of a thrilling 27-25 victory over the Cleveland Warriors, bouncing back from the season opening loss at Columbus. The Enforcers rallied from a 19-6 deficit in the second half behind a strong showing from rookie tailback Chris Rodgers (#23, Federal Reserve PD), who had 105 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.

Defensively, the CPD squad was led by linebackers Brian Atkinson (#52, CCDOC), Jason Slater (#37, 014th District), and rookie Rick Richardson (#44, Wheeling PD). Atkinson had 5 solo tackles on the day, along with an interception, while Slater added 4 solo stops with 2 being for a loss. Richardson, making his Enforcer debut, also added 4 solo tackles. The Enforcers defense was dominant on the day, forcing four turnovers and limiting Cleveland's power rushing attack to negative 20 yards rushing. It was a true team victory, with kicker Chris Lenti (#10, Unit 177) kicking a momentum-shifting squib kick that was recovered by defensive back Joe Negron (#19, Unit 412).

THE VENUE
The Enforcers will be hosting the Boldest at historic Lane Stadium, located on the campus of Lane Tech High School. The North Side home of the Enforcers, Lane Stadium is one of the city's oldest stadiums and was used for the filming of the 2008 movie The Express. The Enforcers currently have a 3-2 all time record at Lane.

THE COACH
Greg Zaragoza is in the midst of his 5th season as the Enforcers head coach (9th season on the staff overall), carrying a 13-8 career record. The 19 year CPD veteran also serves as the team's primary offensive play caller.

THE CAPTAINS
The Enforcers are led this season by captains Mike Belmontez (Offensive Line, 008th District), Aaron Chappell (Defensive Line, Unit 213), Will Murphy (Defensive Back, Unit 393), Jason Slater (Linebacker, 014th District), and Bob Slechter (Wide Receiver, 011th District).

THE GOLD STAR MEMORIAL BOWL
One of the bigger annual games for the Enforcers, the Gold Star Memorial Bowl takes place during the city's Gold Star Weekend. Highlighted by events hosted by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and the CPD Gold Star Families, the purpose of the weekend is to raise both money and awareness for the families of fallen officers while honoring their ultimate sacrifice. As the Enforcers' popularity and exposure has grown, we are extremely proud that the Gold Star Memorial Bowl has become a Gold Star Weekend fixture in Chicago.
THE PREVIOUS SEASON
The Enforcers are in the process of rebounding from disappointing 2013 season, which saw the team go 2-3 overall with a 2-2 record within the NPSFL. The season was highlighted with a 26-7 victory over the Cleveland Warriors and a 25-6 triumph over the Washington DC Generals in the Gold Star Memorial Bowl.

THE OPPONENT
When the Enforcers and Boldest take the field on May 3rd, it will be the first ever meeting between the two squads and the 5th meeting between the Enforcers and any of the New York public safety teams. The Boldest are comprised fully of New York correctional officers, working mostly at Rikers Island, New York City's primary jail complex. It will be a unique match up for the Enforcers, who have 8 rostered players currently working in corrections for either the United States, Illinois, or Cook County.

Coming into the match up, the Boldest are 1-2, falling to Philadelphia 9-8 in the season opener and the defending Division I national champion NYPD Finest 20-8 on April 26th. Their lone win on the season came back on April 12th, when they defeated the FDNY Bravest 20-14. The Boldest rely offensively on a strong power running attack, led primary by running back Eddie Emmanuel.
